Check engine light is on
An amber engine light means the control unit has stored a fault code. It can be anything from a loose fuel cap to a sensor or a misfire. Say in your request whether the light is steady or flashing and whether the car drives any differently.

Frequently asked questions
Can I keep driving?
If the light is steady and the car drives normally, getting to a workshop is fine. A flashing light usually means a misfire: keep revs low and avoid long trips, as the catalytic converter can be damaged.
Is reading the code enough?
The code tells you which system noticed a problem, not always which part has failed. Proper diagnostics also looks at live data before anything gets replaced.
How much does it cost?
The workshop sets the price. The offer shows the workshop's "from" price; the final price is clear once the car has been looked at. Remondikoda does not set or suggest prices.
Who chooses the workshop?
You do. You see offers with time, price and reviews and choose yourself. Remondikoda does not assign workshops.
