Electrical fault: windows, locks, lights

A dead window, lock or light can come from a fuse, a switch, a motor or the wiring loom into the door, which breaks from flexing. Say exactly what does not work, whether it is constant or on and off, and whether it began after a wash, rain or a repair.

Frequently asked questions

What can I check before going in?

Find the fuse layout in the owner manual and check the right fuse. If it has blown and a new one goes straight away, there is a short somewhere, and that is a job for a workshop.

Why are intermittent faults hard to find?

If the fault does not show up at the workshop, there is nothing to measure. Film it when it happens and note the conditions: weather, temperature, what happened just before. That shortens the search a lot.

How much does it cost?

The workshop sets the price. The offer shows the workshop's "from" price; the final price is clear once the car has been looked at. Remondikoda does not set or suggest prices.

Who chooses the workshop?

You do. You see offers with time, price and reviews and choose yourself. Remondikoda does not assign workshops.
