Steering wheel shakes when braking
A steering wheel that shakes under braking usually points to warped or overheated brake discs. Worn track rod ends or suspension bushes can add to it. Say at what speed the shake starts and whether you feel it through the pedal too.

Frequently asked questions
Can the discs be skimmed?
Some workshops skim discs if there is enough material left. If the discs are already thin, replacing discs and pads together is usually the better choice.
Why is it worse after a long descent?
Long braking heats the discs, and uneven wear shows up more. If the shake keeps coming back, have the brakes checked before it gets worse.
How much does it cost?
The workshop sets the price. The offer shows the workshop's "from" price; the final price is clear once the car has been looked at. Remondikoda does not set or suggest prices.
Who chooses the workshop?
You do. You see offers with time, price and reviews and choose yourself. Remondikoda does not assign workshops.
