Coolant leak
A coolant leak usually shows as a pink, green or blue patch under the car, or a sweet smell after driving. Common spots are hoses, the radiator, the water pump and the expansion tank. Say how quickly the level drops and where the patch is.

Frequently asked questions
Can I just keep topping up?
Short term, yes, but only on a cold engine and with the right coolant type. Constant topping up hides the problem, and if the leak grows the engine can overheat.
The level drops but there is no patch. Why?
Coolant can be leaking from the heater matrix into the cabin or burning inside the engine. Signs are sweet white smoke or a damp footwell, so tell the workshop straight away.
How much does it cost?
The workshop sets the price. The offer shows the workshop's "from" price; the final price is clear once the car has been looked at. Remondikoda does not set or suggest prices.
Who chooses the workshop?
You do. You see offers with time, price and reviews and choose yourself. Remondikoda does not assign workshops.
