Engine misfires, rough idle
A rough idle or misfire is most often down to spark plugs, an ignition coil or an injector, sometimes an air leak in the intake. A flashing engine light means a cylinder is actively misfiring. Say whether it happens cold, warm or under load.

Frequently asked questions
Can I keep driving with a misfire?
A short, gentle trip is usually fine if the light is steady. If the engine light is flashing, stop driving: unburnt fuel reaches the catalytic converter and can damage it.
What should I put in the request?
Make, model, engine and mileage, when the plugs were last changed and whether any fault codes have been read. If it only misfires in wet weather, mention that too.
How much does it cost?
The workshop sets the price. The offer shows the workshop's "from" price; the final price is clear once the car has been looked at. Remondikoda does not set or suggest prices.
Who chooses the workshop?
You do. You see offers with time, price and reviews and choose yourself. Remondikoda does not assign workshops.
