Timing belt is due
A timing belt is replaced on mileage or age, whichever comes first. The tensioner and idlers are usually renewed with it, often the water pump too. Put the engine, mileage and when the belt was last done in your request.

Frequently asked questions
How often should it be changed?
The interval depends on the engine and is in the service book, in both kilometres and years. If the history is unknown, say on a used car, it makes sense to change it straight away.
What happens if it snaps?
On many engines the valves hit the pistons and the repair becomes many times bigger than a belt change. So it is not worth stretching the interval. Some engines have a chain instead, which is replaced only when needed.
How much does it cost?
The workshop sets the price. The offer shows the workshop's "from" price; the final price is clear once the car has been looked at. Remondikoda does not set or suggest prices.
Who chooses the workshop?
You do. You see offers with time, price and reviews and choose yourself. Remondikoda does not assign workshops.
