Brakes feel weak, pedal sinks

If the brake pedal travels further than usual or the car takes longer to stop, there may be air in the system, a leak or a worn master cylinder. This is a safety issue. Say whether the pedal keeps sinking slowly when you hold it down.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep driving?

Better not. A soft or sinking pedal means stopping distances can suddenly get much longer. If the pedal goes to the floor, do not drive at all and arrange a tow or a call-out.

How often should brake fluid be changed?

Brake fluid absorbs moisture and is usually changed every couple of years. The exact interval is in the car’s service book.

How much does it cost?

The workshop sets the price. The offer shows the workshop's "from" price; the final price is clear once the car has been looked at. Remondikoda does not set or suggest prices.

Who chooses the workshop?

You do. You see offers with time, price and reviews and choose yourself. Remondikoda does not assign workshops.
